I'm Caroline Galima-Castro, currently based in the UK. My friend Mia
Martinez-Burton personally knows some of your members there in the
US.
In fact, she says that she is already a lifetime member. Both of us
thought of an idea about forming a chapter here in the UK too, of
course
with your help and assistance. I came across your website and I
guess that it is a good start.
We can actually plan our very 1st meeting and informal get-together
during the next Hounslow (London) Barrio Fiesta sometime in July /
August 2010. Mia and I can start with us and our friends here, then
extend the membership to other Candonians in the UK.
So how do we start? perhaps u could e-mail us ASAP and let us know
what is the best thing to do next. if we pay the group membership
fee, can we start using the group's name, UK chapter. We would also
like to suggest that we create a group/fan page on Facebook. i guess
that'll be the
quickest, easiest and most cost-efficient way to publicise the group
to more people. we can even have the US chapter and UK chapter
combined on a Facebook fan page!
Please let us know what you think. we're really excited about this
whole idea! :-)
